Turbine Mechanics Limited provides comprehensive technical support to steam turbine outages – from pre-outage work, during the overhaul as the on-site (or remote) engineer, and afterwards with technical reports. This includes inspection and test plans, condition assessment and recommendations.

Outage Engineering
- Engineering support for outage preparation - inspection and test plans, technical documentation, spares recommendations and inventories.
- Specification and evaluation of turbine dismantling and assembly methods, internal clearance checks and component alignment.
- Advice on rotor coupling concentricity and alignment.
- Support with workshop rotor balancing and overspeed testing.
- Independent review of outage documentation.
- Study of turbine operating data pre and post-outage ; understanding and tracking turbine health.
TURBINE INSPECTION
One particular area of expertise are steam turbine inspection recommendations – prioritising activities based on risk, operation, plant condition and component history. Also, assessments to validate or extend intervals between major inspections.
